As Good As New is a series of unique chairs that reuses discarded furniture found in disrepair on the street and up-cycling them into a more desirable objects, without the expected craft stereotypes that up-cycling can embody.
The project questions the standard supply chain by creating other options in the fight against furniture waste. Using at hand materials and well considered joint work, each chair is quick to construct requiring only hand tools.
Working into the found aesthetic each chair keeps its warm and loved character through careful preservation of surface blemishes and sympathetic additions.
